Trampoline and Swimming

This Summer has been a blast filled with so many fun activities for the kids. Recently Makenna learned how to swim which I am so amazed and excited about. It is one of those Holy Cow I can't believe she is big enough moments for me, but I am very very proud. Also, we went to the Mall and let them jump on some trampoline's there. So fun. Enjoy the videos

Faust Park

Last Sunday we went to Faust Park which has these wonderful 1800's homes where you can just go and walk around. We decided to take some photos because we haven't had a family photo in a really LONG time. SO, the girls wanted to wear the matching shirts I bought them and I. We put them on and headed out with my cousin Tyler and his wife Becca. To my amazement my camera took these amazing photos of us. I was very pleased. Now I just have to go back and try to get them without Jon holding a bottle in his hand and with my hair actually done. The kiddos turned out perfect!! Maybe I should pick up photography ;) Thanks Tyler and Becca for helping us captures some family memories!

More Outings

We have been enjoying "The Magic House" It is a wonderful children's Museum. The girls love going there with Ryan and Caleb. They run around and truly get "Lost" in all the wonderful activities there are to do there. We also have visited the "St. Louis Zoo" which is FREE! It's wonderful and awesome. They have everything from Hippos to Elephants and much more which we didn't even get to see. This is such a wonderful family friend place to live. I just might like coming back here perminently. The people are friendly and thoughtful and very pleasant. Good friends always make it easier and of course we have lots of those out here too.

Sprinkler Park

We have been hanging out with our friends the Fransen's yet again this summer for 6 years in a row! We couldn't be more blessed to have such great friends. We took the kiddos to a park where it had water spraying and they enjoyed running around and getting wet. Ryan and Caleb were so fun to watch especially when they flexed there muscles. My girls just like running and screaming! Thanks great friends for making the summer Awesome!

St. Louis Arch

The first thing we did when we arrived, after some R&R of course was head down to the famous St. Louis Arch. It was really fun to see the amazing structure and ride in the little space elevator up to the top and see the city. Autumn was nervous on the ride up and as soon as we got there wanted to go back down, she wouldn't look out the windows down below. However, Makenna was thrilled to see how high we were and enjoy the ride. It is located right next to the muddy Mississippi and so us girls went and put our feet in the river. It truly is Way MUDDY! It was a fun morning. Love my family :)

Makenna's Graduation

We had a wonderful time watching her sing songs that she learned and seeing all the wonderful displays of what the children had accomplished. I love my little darling

Fishing Trip

"I want to go fishing with PaPa" That is all I heard for two days straight so finally we all ended up going fishing. I had little hopes of catching anything, but grandpa cast three lines and no sooner were they in the water than a very large carp bit the worm. Makenna tried to reel it in and they squeeled, but as soon as it arrived it obvious they were more afraid of the fish than excited. I enjoyed spending time with my dad as well as see my kids go fishing for the first time.

This year Easter was a new fun tradition.  The kids and I headed down to our cabin to enjoy some fun time with grandma and grandpa and Kaycee.  Jon had to stay back because he was swamped between school and such.  The girls had a blast even though there was 2 feet of snow on the ground.  We headed over to the Coral Pink Sand Dunes each day where the Wall Family was camping.  It was nice to ride the 4-wheelers and play in the sand.
The highlights were finding out that KayCee was going to propose to his girlfriend, which he did and we are SO excited to have them engaged the annual Easter egg hunt in the sand, and Grandpa giving the girls a bubble bath.  He said he would bathe them so I left and when I returned he had dumped bubbles in the bath tub and turned on the jets.  The bubbles were overflowing the tub and the girls were having a blast.  Grandpa sure knows how to have a good time!!!
When we came home it was Makenna's Birthday.  She wanted a Barbie party, go figure, so we decked out the place in Barbie decorations and the girls had a very girlie girl party.  It was cute and I love all of Makenna's friends we live in such a great place!!!
It has been really exciting lately and very fun.  Hopefully I can keep up in the months to come and that summer will come quickly we are looking forward to it immensely.

March 2010

This months has been a continuation of last month with lots of crazy fun!!! We started the month with Grandma Debbie coming to visit and baby set. So I decided to treat her to glitter toes thanks to my good friend Misha. She held a party and Makenna, Debbie, and I all got our toes glitterized. I definitely have a little diva 4 year old, but she loved getting her toes painted Barbie Pink.

Next we took the kids to Disney on Ice. It was their Valentine's Present; long awaited!! Dean and the girls did awesome and were totally amused with the lights and characters on the ice. It was Debbie and Jon's first time and they both got a kick out of it as well. Leave it to Disney for a great time!!!

A few days later Jon and I took off on our adventure to Cancun, yet again. It was a blast as it always it, but this time we started by going Jet skiing which of course got Jon sun burned right of the bat. The next day we headed to chitza nitza which was beautiful. The buildings are amazing and the church symbolism on the walls as well as the buildings gives and sacred feeling to the place especially as you picture Christ appearing to the Nephites. We really enjoyed this opportunity. Then of course we enjoyed the beach Xel-Ha and lots of yummy taco's. Mostly I enjoyed the wonderful time with my sweet spouse.
We arrived home to wonderfully taken care of children thanks to a very gracious grandma

Then, just a few days later we were able to go to the Jazz vs Hornets game with Daniel and Summer; thanks to APX. So Jon and I got to spend another night out enjoying the Jazz hammering the hornets. The highlight for me was watching Williams stumble into a fan's seat put both arms around two spectators and pose for pictures in the middle of the game, as well as the Time out entertainment; I filmed it for memories pleasure. The seats were awesome ROW 6. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

Now back to the grind stone; only 5 weeks left until Jon heads off to St. Louis. Now we have finals and the end of a semester to look forward to.
We have been blessed so much and feel so grateful to have these experiences with such wonderful people to share them with!!!
HAPPY EASTER

January 2010

The new year has been wonderful to us. We have had a lot of fun starting with Autumn's Birthday. When I asked her what kind of party she wanted she said, "A Coconut Party!" So with her direction I got coconuts to put pinacolada drink mix in and had an ariel birthday cake. The kids played limbo and pin the tail on the donkey. It was a great success and a lot of fun.

The days have started to get a little warmer her so we thought it would be fun to take the kids tubing. Jon and I recently had gone tubing for a date and knew the girls would love the adventure. So we took them over to a small hill across from parkside lanes and the girls giggled and laughed as they went down. Dean even took a turn!!! It really is so much fun with kids. It brings the child out in ya.

Recently we also took the kids to the Circus. Wow!!! The girls were running wild and they even got to ride an elephant before the show started. The girls were mesmerized for two hours of tricks, animals, dealth defying feats, and even a clown. Makenna's favorite was the motorcycle's (there were two of them) going around in an encaged ball. Autumn liked riding the elephant. It had been a long time since we'd gone and the kids loved it.

As for our life Jon started school yet again. He is doing pre-requisites so he can take the DAT and apply for Dental School. Crazy, it has totally been crazy. He still has two semesters left of pre-recs before we know for sure where this rode will take us, but as for the near future we also found out that Jon will be selling this summer in St. Louis. I can honestly say I wasn't thrilled, but I am hoping for the best. I hear it is really family friendly and only a couple hours from Nauvoo so we could potentially have a lot of fun out there and if anyone wants to visit come on out :)

Happy Valentines to all!!!!
