We had VISITORS

This past week I felt so special to have my Family come and visit me in New York. Bret and Wendy along with my mom all came in and we had a blast touring the city. These pictures are a special treat. Wendy, My Mom and I had the opportunity of experiencing "Wicked". It was really Awesome being together like one of our traditional Girl Vacations we only wished Whitney could have been with us to experience it. The first slide show is of our trip to Palmyra, we left late and I forgot my camera so I purchased a disposable one so that is why the pictures are grainy. It was a long trip and Autumn wouldn't sleep so we got 3 hours of sleep before touring. The kids woke up at 7 so Jon and I took them to the Sacred Grove while my mom and Billy slept. While there we had the neat experience of running into Bro. Tesch who was on a Church History Tour. I went on a tour with him back in H.S. It was quite random to be there on the same day. I felt like it was a little reminder of how special our experiences on earth are especially when shared with others. OK, so one story about Makenna. She has been so good at being potty trained especially at holding "it" Well, while walking up the Hill Cumorah she had to "GO" so Jon looked down and saw a sewer drain and she bent over it and took a "wiz" It was quite funny I took a picture, but the more hilarious story was at the park a week earlier when while I was talking to a friend and pushing Autumn on a swing Makenna comes running up to me with her pannies around her ankles exclaiming that she had to go "doo doo". When she has to go she has to go so in an attempt to save us all I ran and picked her up and crouched her over a garbage can. She looked up at me with her innocent eyes while doing her business and said, "Mom, is this the potty?" I laughed quite hard after the experience. The second is of Down Town NYC. I am very proud of myself for conquering a fear this week. I spent two entire days driving in Downtown Manhattan and I think I conquered the feat of beating the taxi's off of the line of scrimmage as the light turned green. I did scare my mom a few times, but we were safe. Thanks family for visiting I LOVED IT!!!

Happy Father's Day

We love you Jon and are so happy to spend eternity with you!!! You are an amazing Father to Makenna and Autumn so loving, patient, and kind. I will always be grateful God gave me you as a companion. OXOXOXOX from us all!!

These pictures are from our canoing adventure at a nearby Pond. Jon was so good to row, how buff!!! While we were floating along Makenna started singing, "Sha la la la, My O My, You got to Kiss the Girl" I truly have raised a Disney Child :) We ended up passing into a Geese territory and one of them came up to our canoe and started hissing so we quickly tried to turn around before it attacked. I think it had babies somewhere! We got away and no one was harmed. (I truly LOVE my family)

Central Park

This Sunday has been extremely eventful. First we went to church where I was sustained as the ward pianist. I had to play the hymns for the Sacrament meeting. I am not a great piano player and so to play the hymns is a stretch especially in front of a crowd. Then, after church we drove to Manhattan only getting lost once, ok twice. We had a GPS, but the darn thing took us down to the docks passing by the Statue of Liberty instead of to the Guggenheim so we adjusted our destination and ended up across from central park, parking at the Museum of Natural History. We spent three hours there touring and Makenna loved the Park. Especially because I told her that we were in the place where Gezelle and Edward sing from the movie Enchanted! We even got to take a picture by the bridge where Edward jumps off and gets hit by bicyclers. We strolled some more and it got quite hot 100 plus 95 humidity. It cooled down pretty quickly though by the time we left. We then drove up to Harlem by mistake, but we could tell by our surroundings we needed to turn around. We charted the GPS back toward the Empire State building and by mistake drove past The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints TEMPLE!!! We thought that was cool. After visiting there we went to Time Square and saw the lights. It was an all day trip, and was really fun. We are enjoying the adventures New York has to offer.

Ice Cream

We went on a drive with our friends Bonnie and Sadie the other day along the coast roads of Long Island and found the most adorable little ice cream shop. It reminded me of the shops off the North Shore in Hawaii. We stopped and got the girls cones and played in the gazebo.

Every Day Activities

Our Daily Activities consist of waking up spending time with Dad, going down for a nap at noon, and then POOL TIME!!! We love the sun and water. Atty is growing accustomed to the pool and Makenna took her first dive the other day. Well mostly just cautiously wading around with her floaties on her arms. I also loved the picture of Makenna in my shoes, just had to post that for LOVE!

Makenna got a new umbrella this week because it has been raining and she is absolutely in LOVE. She takes it everywhere and looks like a little angel with it. I am surprised by how many people stop us to tell me my girls are beautiful. It is like blonde's are a rarity in New York.

Twilight

The past week i became totally OBSESSED with the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer. Thanks to the encouragement of my cousin Kassandra and my friend Arianne. I read the 3 books in about a week. I really enjoyed the books though my family was neglected. I am happy to recommend them to almost anybody.
