An Ode To New York

Seeing how this is our last week here and I probably won't post until we get back to Utah I decided to create a little ode for New York, the tune is yet to come. Hope you enjoy!

New York, New York, oh how we love thee
Even though nothing we do is ever free
From the parking to the beaches to the 9% tax
We will still love all of you to the max

Time Square at night with all of its lights
Oh there is never a sight just as bright
The people rushing by with some place to go
Will not miss the double stroller in the way what a foe

The looks and the stares at the red minivan
Driving in Manhattan, with the cabs which should be banned
And lovely, oh how lovely are the little hot dog stands
On every street corner with a big hot dog van

New York, New York, oh how we love thee
We are definitely going to miss all of your trees
Except when I am driving and looking for a store
Which is just beyond the thicket of trees a little more

Farewell to the wondrous Lady Liberty
Where everything is locked and guarded with a key
We are off to our humble of humblest homes
Where the wagons are still pulled by horses or gnomes?

Wish us luck on the drive :)

Jon and Marie, I check in from the Mormon Acres link from time to time--love to see the great times you are having and your beautiful girls. School done and another summer behind you, what's next when you get back to Utah? Susan Paulson--yeah, I use Scott's gmail sign in.
